‘An Invitation to Wonder: Waubesa Wetlands’ film screening and event

Waubesa Wetlands near Madison is one of Wisconsin's most studied water habitats and provides important food and shelter for waterfowl and migrating songbirds. Enjoy a free screening and event around ‘An Invitation to Wonder: Waubesa Wetlands,’ a film featuring Calvin DeWitt, a wetland scientist and UW-Madison Nelson Institute faculty emeritus, sharing the knowledge and wisdom he has found from living on the marsh for over 50 years. The filmmaker, Ben Albert, is his 20-year-old grandson.

Outdoor activities, guided hikes, and programming including our SOS Save Our Songbirds booth are being held in conjunction with screening. The film screening starts at 5 p.m, followed by a Q & A with Ben Albert and Cal DeWitt. The event is free but register now to save yourself a seat!
