Beans for Birds: Coffee and chocolate tasting and digging into native plants

  • Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra Center for Music 1118 East Washington Avenue Madison, WI, 53703 United States (map)

Sample free coffee from Barnwood Coffee Company of Two Rivers, one of Wisconsin’s first Bird-Friendly certified roasters, and chocolates from a trio of artisan chocolatiers from Brooklyn, New York, Asheville, N.C. and San Francisco certified as Bird-Friendly.

Get a free native plant, learn what other native plants we can add to our yards, balconies and patios to boost birds, and share with neighbors what you’re already doing to help reverse the 30% decline songbirds have suffered in the United States since 1970. And for a small donation, take home a window treatment kit to treat your worst window to keep birds from flying into it. Sponsored by SOS, Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance, Friends of Wisdom Prairie and Barnwood Coffee Company of Two Rivers. The event is free; RSVP requested to help plan enough supplies.
